Hello all Jazz Fans!

We are delighted to say that our friends at the Newport Jazz Club will be putting on their start-up concert on Sunday afternoon, 22 May 2022, at 3.00pm.  The concert will comprise the Cass Caswell Celebrity Quintet, a great line up comprising Jo Fooks on Tenor Sax, Dave Newton on piano, Eddie John on drums, Cass of course on bass and vocalist Sinead McCabe.  Cass has constructed an all-embracing selection with styles of jazz that will appeal to all tastes: trad, mainstream and modern, with superb vocal detail.

Not only will the occasion be a celebration of Newport Jazz Club’s return, but it will also be the 12th anniversary of their initial start-up.

In order to keep the ticket price at the £12 level , a receipt will be issued in place of a ticket.  ‘Tickets’ for this concert are being reserved well but please contact Bill Wills on 523879 or Gerry Cullis on 730601 to ensure your place.  They will also be available at the box office if available. As for their future programme, several more concerts are in the pipeline and the monthly concert programme will return during 2023.

We hope all you jazz aficionados will support the NJC and the Apollo Theatre by attending the concerts and keeping jazz alive.  Bring a new friend along!
